The 1954 Carrera Panamericana, also known as Pan-Am, was the fifth and final running of the Carrera Panamericana Mexican sports car racing event. It was the sixth and final race of the 1954 World Sportscar Championship. 150 cars started the race, and 85 finished all 8 stages.The diminutive Porsche 550 Spyder scored a third place in the overall classification. Porsche easily won its class and managed to outpace some mighty heavy metal from Italy and the US.
Nicolas Hunziker is an automotive artist from Las Vegas, Nevada. His style combining limited color palettes and strong plots, the bold use of lettering and fonts make his work instantly recognizable. His favorite subject , auto racing, stems from a long family history in motorsport dating back to the 30s.
