In 2024, the 62nd edition of the Daytona 24h took place
Porsche secured its 19th overall victory, setting a new record and surpassing the previous one set in 2003. In a remarkable achievement, Porsche offered a new trophy to Penske Motorsport, ending their victory drought since the Sunoco era and the triumph of Mark Donohue and Chuck Parsons.
Following a fiercely contested race, drivers Dane Cameron, Matt Campbell, Josef Newgarden, and Felipe Nasr emerged victorious behind the wheel of Porsche 963 No. 7. Nasr, a former Formula 1 driver, took the lead towards the end of the race after a mandatory pit stop prompted by the spectacular fire incident involving the Lexus No. 12 driven by Parker Thompson.
He held onto the lead and crossed the finish line as the winner, despite the relentless challenges from Tom Blomqvist and Louis Delétraz in the Acura cars, who were considered favorites for the race.

Porsche gewinnt seine 19. Sieg in der Gesamtwertung und stellte einen neuen Rekord auf, der den von 2003 verbesserte. Gleichzeitig verleiht Porsche dem Penske Motorsport Team eine neue Trophäe, die seit der Zeit von Sunoco und dem Sieg von Mark Donohue und Chuck Parsons nicht mehr gewonnen wurde.
Am Ende eines Rennens ohne Zugeständnisse, Piloten Dane Cameron, Matt Campbell, Josef Newgarden und Felipe Nasr triumphieren am Steuer der Porsche 963 Nr. 7. Nasr, ehemaliger F1-Pilot, übernahm das Kommando am Ende des Rennens, nachdem er nach dem spektakulären Brand des Lexus Nr. 12 von Parker Thompson gewaltsam angehalten wurde.
Er verließ den ersten Platz nicht mehr und überquerte die Ziellinie als Sieger, trotz wiederholter Angriffe der Acura von Tom Blomqvist und Louis Deletraz, den Favoriten des Rennens.

Nasr, ancien pilote de F1, s'est emparé du commandement en fin de course, suite à un arrêt forcé consécutif à l'incendie spectaculaire de la Lexus n°12 de Parker Thompson.
Il n'a ensuite plus quitté la première place et a franchi la ligne d’arrivée en vainqueur, malgré les assauts répétés des Acura de Tom Blomqvist et Louis Delétraz, pourtant favoris de la course.
