The Minichamps 1/18th scale model is beautiful with its red-white-red Austrian colours and the inscription “Österreich 2” on the front.

The model is highly detailed. Even if it’s a closed body resin model, you can admire the engine and the detailed interior of the car.

The paint and the colours are perfect, and the big round windscreen is amazing.

The display is beautiful, with a metallic engraved plate near the model. Individually numbered model, with 999 pieces for the world.

On June 1st 1969 the 15th ADAC 1000 km race started at the Nürburgring. In the first grid was the Porsche 908/02 Spyder with start number 1 driven by the famous pilots Jo Siffert and Brian Redman and ahead of the Ferrari 312P.

For the first time since 1953, the race was opened by an Indianapolis start, instead of the usual Le Mans start.

After 6 hours, 11 minutes and 2.3 seconds, and an average speed of 162,475 Km/h, Redman/Siffert won the race.

The Porsche 908 racing cars captured the first 5 spots, a Ford GT40 being the first non-Porsche car behind them in the sixth place.

In ready to race mode the total weight is only 600 kg, thanks to a space frame and an air cooled 3 liters 8 cylinders boxer engine with 350 horse powers.

The five speed transmission has a maximum torque of 32 MKP, which is transmitted to the 15’’ rims (9’’ front width and 12’’ rear width).

The top speed of the open reinforced plastic body Spyder is 270 km/h.
