On 20 July 1968 at Brands Hatch, Swiss driver Jo Siffert entered the annals of motorsport history. At the wheel of his magnificent No. 22 Lotus 49B, sporting the Rob Walker Racing colours, he fought a fierce battle and emerged victorious against the very best teams. This masterful victory remains etched in history as the very last triumph of an independent driver at the pinnacle of Formula 1. A heroic feat in which a driver’s raw talent and the elegance of a legendary single-seater brought the giants of the circuit to their knees.
