Real Model – Ferrari F40 1987
Unveiled in July 1987 to celebrate Ferrari’s 40th anniversary, the F40 succeeded the 288 GTO and remains the last road-going Ferrari personally approved by Enzo Ferrari. Designed by Pininfarina with a clear focus on lightness and performance, it combines a tubular steel chassis with a composite body—featuring carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aluminum—resulting in a weight of approximately 1,100 to 1,250 kg, depending on the version.
Its mid-mounted 2,936 cc 90° V8 engine, fed by twin IHI turbochargers, produces 478 hp at 7,000 rpm and 577 Nm of torque. All this power is delivered to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
Capable of reaching speeds of around 324 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, the F40 was the first production car to officially break the 320 km/h barrier.
Originally intended for a limited run of 400 units, approximately 1,315 were ultimately produced between 1987 and 1992, with a few LM and GTE racing variants assembled later on.

The visual treatment blends an exposed carbon fiber finish with red and silver sections, creating a striking contrast to Ferrari’s original design philosophy. It accentuates the F40’s signature proportions: the sloping nose, steeply raked windshield, compact cockpit, sculpted flanks featuring air intakes, and the muscular rear section housing the twin-turbo V8 engine. This version is aimed primarily at collectors seeking a unique take on the F40 rather than a reproduction strictly faithful to the factory configuration.
