Le Mans 66 movie star with Ken Miles
After six consecutive Ferrari victories at Le Mans, Ford launches into battle with Carroll Shelby, designer of the Ford GT40 Mk II. The race, led by car no. 1 of the drivers Ken Miles and Denis Hulme, must end on the order of the Ford stand by crossing the finish line two-abreast with car no. 2 of Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, to highlight the triumph of the American brand. Ken Miles is therefore asked to slow down on the last lap so that car no. 2 can reach him. But officials will declare this last winner of the event, as it is reported in the film Le Mans 66, released in 2019.
