Real Model – Alpine A110 1600S n° 1 – Monte Carlo Rally 1972

For the 1972 Monte Carlo Rally, Alpine-Renault entered five A110 1600S Berlinettes, including car No. 1, driven by Jean-Luc Thérier with co-driver Claude Roure. Following the brand's resounding one-two finish in Monaco the previous year, Thérier was a top favorite; however, the car went off the road, prematurely ending his race in what was a particularly challenging event. The A110 1600S combined a rear-mounted 1,605 cc 4-cylinder engine—producing approximately 138 hp in rally trim—with a weight of just over 700 kg. Its agility on snow, ice, and winding roads laid the foundation for Alpine's dominance, which would culminate in the World Constructors' Championship title in 1973.

Miniature – Alpine A110 1600S n° 1 Monte Carlo Rally 1972 1/18 Solido (S1804210)

This 1:18 scale Solido model faithfully reproduces the Alpine A110 1600S No. 1 driven by Jean-Luc Thérier and Claude Roure at the 1972 Monte Carlo Rally, featuring a die-cast metal body. It replicates the official Berlinette’s iconic Alpine Blue paintwork, auxiliary lights, specific bumpers, rally wheels, and racing livery. Exterior details and the competition-spec interior are meticulously painted and tampo-printed to capture the spirit of 1970s rallying.
