The Car – Mercedes-AMG W11 EQ Performance 2020
Powered by a 1.6-liter Mercedes M11 EQ Performance turbocharged V6 engine paired with an electric motor, it embodies the pinnacle of the hybrid era with exceptional aerodynamic and energy efficiency. The car is distinguished by its highly refined sidepods, redesigned side air intakes, and extensive work on the brake ducts to optimize airflow and Pirelli tire management. In its 2020 Silverstone configuration, the #44 car sports the black livery adopted by Mercedes that year, combined with the Petronas and INEOS logos and characteristic turquoise details, as well as Hamilton's number 44 on the engine cover and nose.

Starting from pole position, Hamilton dominated the race and led for most of the 52 laps before extreme tire wear dramatically altered the course in the closing moments. On a one-stop strategy, Hamilton completed a long stint on hard tires, facing unprecedented stresses at the fast Silverstone corner, until several punctures struck first Bottas and then Sainz towards the end of the race. On the very last lap, the front left tire of the #44 exploded, forcing the Briton to cover the final kilometers practically on the rim, with Verstappen in hot pursuit on fresh tires. Despite an unbalanced car and a rapidly declining pace, Hamilton managed to control the W11, skillfully navigating each corner and maintaining just enough of a lead to cross the finish line first, less than six seconds ahead. This miniature immortalizes this historic moment: the W11 in its 2020 black livery, the number 44, the official sponsors, and, on some editions, the damaged front left tire, a symbol of this heroic victory at Silverstone.
