The Jeep Cherokee XJ is Jeep's iconic compact SUV, produced from 1984 to 2001, which played a major role in popularizing family 4x4s thanks to its unibody construction, relatively compact size, and genuine off-road capabilities. Restyled towards the end of its production run, it was offered with several engine options, including the highly regarded 4.0-liter inline six-cylinder gasoline engine, as well as 2.1-liter and 2.5-liter diesel engines for European markets.
The Limited trim level represented the top of the XJ range, with particularly generous equipment for its time: air conditioning, leather upholstery, power seats, power windows and mirrors, central locking, cruise control, and often a higher-quality sound system. In its European 4.0 Limited version, the XJ offers approximately 184 hp and nearly 290–300 Nm of torque, most often paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and 4x4 drivetrain, making it a comfortable, versatile SUV that is now sought after as a youngtimer.

The model is static, without opening parts, but accurately reproduces the XJ's very boxy profile: seven-slot grille, flat hood, angular fenders, large windows, roof rails, and body-colored bumpers, typical of the Limited versions.
The high-end equipment details are also present, with specific wheels, side moldings, "Limited" logos, and a finely molded interior (leather-style seats, dashboard, instruments) visible through the windows, in keeping with Otto's showroom-oriented production. Produced in a limited series and delivered fully assembled, this 1/18 scale Cherokee XJ Limited is an ideal addition to a collection dedicated to iconic SUVs of the 80s and 90s, classic Jeeps, or American youngtimers.
