Sébastien Loeb's remarkable achievement in the Mont Blanc Rally in 2021 with a Peugeot 306 Maxi once again showcased his driving qualities and his exceptional determination. The French rallyman, who is considered one of the greatest of all time, finished the event just off the podium, winning the scratch in several events with a car over 20 years old.
From the first stage, it was clear that Loeb was in a class of its own. He imposed a breakneck pace, leaving his direct rivals far behind and threatening the reigning French champion. Despite the difficult terrain and unpredictable weather, he kept pushing hard, taking risks where others were more cautious. His talent and experience as evidence.
As the race progressed, Loeb's lead grew and it soon became clear that he was in a position to challenge his younger and better armed rivals for victory. He never rested on his laurels, continuing to push his abilities and those of the car to their limits. He finally crossed the finish line in sixth place, following mechanical problems, but to the delight of his fans and supporters.
Loeb's performance in a 2021 event with a 306 Maxi, a car dating from his first French Rally Championship title in 2001, testifies to his talent, experience and determination. A clear reminder of why he is considered one of the greatest rally drivers of all time.
