Real Model – Peugeot 103 L 1972

Launched in 1971, the Peugeot 103 is a moped that can be driven without a license from the age of 14, limited to 45 km/h, and which would leave its mark on an entire generation of teenagers in the 70s and 80s. Its simple design (beam frame, 2-stroke engine, variator, fuel tank under the seat) and its reliability made it a huge commercial success, propelling Cycles Peugeot to the position of leading moped manufacturer in France by 1973.

The 103 L version is positioned in the middle of the range, with a slightly more stripped-down look than the heavily chromed Luxe versions, but retaining the characteristic silhouette and standard performance of the model. Used for everyday commuting, school runs, and rides with friends, the 103 became a true icon of French youth, just like other mopeds of the era.
