Launched in 2023, the Porsche 911 Dakar pays tribute to the victory of the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 4x4 at the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally. Based on the Type 992 911 Carrera 4 GTS, it features a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine producing 480 hp, all-wheel drive, and an eight-speed PDK transmission. Its ground clearance is raised by 50 mm compared to a standard Carrera—with an additional 30 mm lift available via the suspension system—while Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires, underbody protection, and dedicated Rally and Offroad driving modes enhance its off-road capabilities.
The 911 Dakar is also distinguished by its limited production run of 2,500 units. The white and Gentian Blue "Rallye Design" livery, featuring race number 718, draws inspiration from Porsche’s rally cars and evokes the historic Rothmans color scheme, though tobacco logos are not used.
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is Volkswagen’s modern electric van, visually inspired by the classic Type 2. In this set, it appears as a support vehicle for Porsche Centrum Gelderland, complete with a trailer designed to transport the 911 Dakar. The combination features the "Roughroads" theme, evoking a sporting expedition across tracks and trails.
