The Porsche 944 Turbo Cup No. 11 made motorsport history in 1989 by finishing second in the Porsche 944 Turbo Cup Germany championship. That season was dominated by Roland Asch, who clinched his third consecutive title with 390 points. The competition consisted of nine races, including events at the Nürburgring, AVUS, Norisring, Salzburgring and Zolder. Jörg van Ommen, already runner-up in 1986, showed impressive consistency, finishing second in the overall standings. He also won the final race of the season at the Nürburgring Sprint-Strecke.
