A reissue of the long-running 1992 book "Carrera RS", this book contains 178 pages more. New elements, verified information have been integrated. Historical and unpublished shots allow to trace exhaustively the career of this legendary model in competition.
The book's favorite piece is the chapters dedicated to the backstage of the Carrera RS's birth, its technical specifications, detailed overviews of the equipment and all the deliverable options. This research took almost three years. In particular, Porsche opened its very valuable archives and allowed both authors to study the internal documentation.
The text is embellished with pictures, very often unpublished before. At the end of the volume, one can find the list of all 1,580 Carrera RS produced, with the manufacturer's specifications and details such as the original color, equipment and options chosen: a reference book for all connoisseurs, collectors and restorers.
