Summary:
A hyper-documented, extremely well written and produced book that deals with both the original 911R of 1967, produced only 20 copies, and its heiress modern copies of which all were sold the day of its presentation at the motorshow of Geneva in 2016.
The first part focuses on the development of the 911R in the 60s, the work of engineers and technicians from the factory, the different engines used and the world records established at Monza. The second part deals with contemporary 911R and plunges directly into the arcana of its design, each chapter focusing on a particular aspect of development.
There is also a detailed list of all 911Rs produced as well as 3D illustrations of the current 911R.
