In June 2015, for its return to Le Mans, Porsche won the first two places in the race against Audi, Nissan and Toyota.

In June 2016, when the race was dominated by Toyota, the fate was fierce on the Japanese brand which had to give up 1 round of victory. The Porsche 919 Hybrid #2, driven by Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb, was in second place and was able to clinch the 18th Porsche title.

In June 2017, after a crazy race and a spectacular comeback, Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber's 919 had a third consecutive victory, the 19th for Porsche, an all-time victory record at Le Mans!
