The Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 #17, entered in the 2025 Monte Carlo Rally, is a latest-generation hybrid WRC car designed to tackle the mixed and treacherous stages of the World Rally Championship. Its first-place finish at Monte Carlo 2025 confirms the high level of performance and reliability of the GR Yaris Rally1 in one of the most challenging events on the calendar.
Underneath the bodywork, inspired by the production GR Yaris, lies a hybrid Rally1 powertrain: a 1.6L turbocharged internal combustion engine derived from the WRC, combined with a hybrid system providing an electric boost, all coupled to all-wheel drive and a 5-speed sequential gearbox.
This package delivers explosive acceleration, exceptional traction, and precise power management, essential on the narrow, icy, or wet roads of Monte Carlo.
The chassis features a full roll cage, adjustable long-travel suspension, racing brakes, and refined aerodynamics (wing, splitters, diffusers) to guarantee stability, grip, and precision at very high speeds. The cockpit is entirely competition-oriented: FIA bucket seats, harnesses, simplified controls, rally instrumentation, everything designed for driver/co-driver efficiency.
