The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS British Legends Edition is a special UK-market series of the 911 Type 991.2, launched in 2017 and registered in certain markets in 2018. Created by Porsche Cars Great Britain and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, it celebrates three British drivers who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Porsche: Richard Attwood in 1970, Derek Bell (four times between 1981 and 1987), and Nick Tandy in 2015.
The version bearing the number 23 pays tribute to Richard Attwood and the red-and-white Porsche 917 KH in which he won Le Mans in 1970. Its Guards Red bodywork features a white side stripe, the number 23, the driver's signature, and a subtle Union Jack. Only 15 units of this series were produced for each driver, making a total of 45 cars.
Based on the Carrera 4 GTS, it is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine delivering 450 hp and 550 Nm of torque. All-wheel drive and the PDK transmission allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3.6 seconds using Launch Control, reaching a top speed of nearly 310 km/h.
