"Godasso", or more often "Godasse de plomb" (shoe made of lead), his nickname Jean-Pierre Jarier did not usurped. He is a great defender more often than anyone else of lost causes in Formula 1, and has also made his mark on the endurance tracks. In 1997, when the FFSA revived the French championship of GT cars, he was amongst the first ones, with the complicity of Sonauto and the driverFrançois Lafon, to engage in the competition. Their Porsche GT2, assembled from carefully selected pieces by Jarier itself will thunderous debut: first win in the first race of the season and the final second place in the championship, that they will win the following year. The Porsche, recognizable among all, presents the originality of having been decorated by the artist Peter Klasen, one of the first and one of the most rated designer of "Art cars" in the world.
