"SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER" Porsche 718 RSK - title in reference to the movie "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER" AMERICAN FILM of John BADHAM released in 1977 with John TRAVOLTA, its ambitions both sporting and technical. Its name includes both the letters RS for RENNSPORT (motor sport) and K for the new torsion bar springs which take the shape of a big K lying on the back. The 718 also features a seamless tubular steel chassis, gaining strength without compromising the optimized lightweight construction. The engine, chassis and drum brakes have also been upgraded. The 718 RSK is a worldwide winner: at Le Mans, the Nürburgring, Argentina, Riverside, California, and many mountain races. In Formula 2, too, the 550 A Spyder and the 718 RSK demonstrate the impressive potential of this Porsche concept. The 718/2 was converted into a single-seater and won the 1960 Formula 2 World Championship.

"One can seriously love the automobile without taking oneself seriously": this is the credo of Bixhope Art, a painter who changes our view of cars.

For him, the automobile is the most beautiful conquest of man, it symbolizes evolution, progress, freedom, emancipation, pleasure, dream.

Bixhope Art fell into the cauldron of art as a child. From his father, a painter, he keeps the memory of the hours spent together in the studio, the visits to exhibitions and the animated discussions on the artistic trends. In 1974, father and son discovered the American hyperrealist painters. A trigger that will shape the course of their lives! However, it was not until 2019 that Bixhope Art, now 50 years old, allowed himself to paint his first work. A gift for one of his children, and very quickly followed by many other achievements. Creative bulimia of an artist caught - almost in spite of himself - by painting!

Omnipresent in the work of Bixhope Art, the cinema and the car are the two passions that dictate the rhythm of his daily life. Here again, childhood is never far away and the artist is inexhaustible when it comes to evoking the Porsche 911 that aroused his admiration at the age of 7. A car with an orange color that inspired him to paint "Orange Mechanic". With its title in the form of a wink to the cinema, this work sums up wonderfully the work of the artist. We find Bull The Dog, a facetious and colorful dog that has become a recurring character in the work of Bixhope Art.

Halfway between pop art and hyperrealism, the style of Bixhope Art is full of color and joy. An assertive counterpoint to the prevailing gloom, which gives his original creations a freshness that we never tire of. Made with acrylics, these pieces transport us into a world of gleaming chrome, dazzling curves and legendary bodywork. Ayrton Senna and Steve McQueen are among them. Iconic figures resurrected before our eyes!

He has participated in numerous exhibitions since 2020, Art3F Monaco, Art Shopping Paris, Auto Moto Rétro Rouen, Sonia Monti Paris, Van Gogh Madrid, Honfleur, Retromobile Paris, Porsche Casting Deauville, 1000 Alpines for Jean Rédélé Dieppe...

His creations were presented during 1 year in the showrooms of the Porsche Centers of Rouen and Caen and are permanently presented in the Alpine showroom of Deauville.
