The BMW Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo, introduced in 2014, is derived from the BMW 4 Series (F32/F33) and is positioned as a high-performance grand touring coupe/convertible, somewhere between a BMW M and a luxury GT. It uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine (based on the N55, reworked by Alpina) producing approximately 410 hp and 600 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and, depending on the market, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Performance is on par with the best sports cars of its era: 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 4.2 seconds for the coupe, a top speed of over 300 km/h (Alpina did not sign the 250 km/h speed limit agreement), while maintaining a strong focus on comfort and long journeys. Aesthetically, the B4 is distinguished by its specific aerodynamic kit (Alpina front bumper and rear spoiler), 20-inch Alpina Classic wheels, and luxurious interior, making it a highly sought-after GT among connoisseurs.
