The 1980 Chevrolet Silverado Dually belongs to the third generation of Chevrolet C/K pickup trucks, known by the nickname "Square Body." The term "dually" refers to its rear dual-wheel setup, designed to increase payload capacity and stability during towing. These versions were notably offered on rear-wheel-drive C30 utility chassis, with various gasoline and diesel engine options.
This generation is characterized by its highly angular bodywork, large chrome grille, and single or crew cab configurations. On heavy-duty models, the 7.4-liter (454 cubic-inch) Big Block V8 could produce approximately 230 hp and 488 Nm of torque; it was primarily paired with the two-wheel-drive "C" series models prior to 1981.
