The Ferrari 296 Speciale is the lighter and more radical version of the 296 GTB, presented in 2025 with a plug-in hybrid architecture combining a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with a 120° angle (700 hp) and an electric motor with 180 hp for a combined output of 880 hp sent to the rear wheels only via an 8-speed DCT gearbox. Weighing approximately 60 kg less than a 296 GTB, boasting increased downforce of around 435 kg at 250 km/h (a 20% increase), even more finely tuned suspension, and a "Qualify" mode optimizing electric boost, it achieves 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 7.0 seconds, and a top speed exceeding 330 km/h, positioning itself as the most extreme production berlinetta in the Ferrari range.
