The Ferrari 499P is the Maranello Hypercar prototype that has competed in the FIA WEC since 2023. It features a twin-turbo V6 engine combined with a hybrid system and a carbon fiber chassis that meets the Le Mans Hypercar regulations. In 2025, the #83 499P, entered by the semi-private AF Corse team and driven by Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye, and Phil Hanson, won the 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, giving Ferrari its third consecutive victory at the Sarthe circuit.
This victory for car #83, achieved with a lead of approximately 14 seconds over the #6 Porsche 963, also cemented Yifei Ye's status as the first Chinese driver to win Le Mans and secured Ferrari's permanent 24 Hours of Le Mans Trophy, awarded to any team that wins three times in a row. Following the successes of the factory 499P #51 in 2023 and #50 in 2024, this triumph of the AF Corse customer car #83 marks a new historic chapter for Ferrari in endurance racing.
