The 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO Evoluzione is the most brutal missing link in Maranello’s history. Originally designed for Group B racing before the category was abruptly scrapped, only five factory-built examples were ever produced. Fitted with a twin-turbo V8 producing 650 horsepower and weighing a mere 940 kg, this mechanical monster with its Kevlar and fibreglass bodywork exceeded 360 km/h. More than just a rarity, it served as a direct development platform for the legendary F40.
This high-end 1/18 scale resin reproduction by Tecnomodel perfectly captures the aggressive, raw and purely aerodynamic silhouette of the Evoluzione. Finished in the legendary Rosso Corsa colour, this model stands out for the finesse of its details, notably its faithfully replicated O.Z. racing wheels. The numerous cooling vents, the huge integrated rear wing and the stripped-back cockpit are testament to the care taken by the manufacturer.
