Real Model – Ferrari F40 1987
Unveiled in July 1987 to celebrate Ferrari’s 40th anniversary, the F40 succeeded the 288 GTO and remains the last road-going Ferrari personally approved by Enzo Ferrari. Designed by Pininfarina with a clear focus on lightness and performance, it combines a tubular steel chassis with a composite body—featuring carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aluminum—resulting in a weight of approximately 1,100 to 1,250 kg, depending on the version.
Its mid-mounted, 2,936 cc 90° V8 engine, fed by twin IHI turbochargers, produces 478 hp at 7,000 rpm and 577 Nm of torque. All this power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
Capable of reaching a top speed of around 324 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, the F40 was the first production car to officially break the 320 km/h barrier.
Originally intended for a limited run of 400 units, approximately 1,315 were ultimately produced between 1987 and 1992, with additional LM and GTE racing variants assembled later.

It incorporates the F40’s iconic features: a low nose with air intakes, pop-up headlights, sculpted flanks, sliding side windows, a transparent engine cover revealing the twin-turbo V8, five-spoke wheels, and a massive rear wing integrated into the bodywork. Crafted from resin, this scale model comes with a premium base and a display case, making it ideal for showcasing alongside other models from the Prancing Horse brand.
