Facing an armada of newer prototypes, the expert duo of Mexican Pedro Rodríguez and Belgian Lucien Bianchi drove the legendary American car, powered by its mighty 4.9-litre V8, to a historic triumph, dashing Porsche’s hopes and cementing the GT40’s legendary status at La Sarthe.
Available in 1/43 scale from Ixo (ref. LM1968), this must-have replica features the most famous livery in motorsport: the legendary colours of the Gulf oil company, combining sky blue and bright orange. The model perfectly captures the car’s ultra-low silhouette with its famous centre-lock wheels and two additional headlights integrated into the front for night-time racing at Le Mans.
