Real Model – Ford Mustang GTD 2025
The Ford Mustang GTD is the most extreme production version of the Mustang ever offered. Unveiled as a 2025 model, it brings technology derived from the Mustang GT3 race car to the road, featuring heavily reworked bodywork, a widened track, active aerodynamics, extensive use of carbon fiber panels, semi-active suspension, and a rear transaxle. Despite being street-legal, it is designed as a track car capable of challenging European supercars on the circuit.
Beneath the long hood lies the supercharged 5.2-liter "Predator" V8 engine, featuring a dry-sump lubrication system—a first for a production Mustang. It produces 815 hp at 7,400 rpm and 900 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed Tremec dual-clutch transmission, rear-mounted to optimize weight distribution. The engine has a redline of 7,650 rpm.
The Mustang GTD reaches a top speed of 325 km/h, and Ford claims a lap time of 6:52.072 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, making it the first Mustang to break the seven-minute barrier on the circuit. Its aerodynamic package includes a large rear wing, a diffuser, an optimized underbody, and active flaps. Braking is handled by ventilated, cross-drilled carbon-ceramic discs—measuring 420 mm at the front and 370 mm at the rear—while Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires measure 325 mm wide at the front and 345 mm at the rear.
