The McLaren-Honda MP4/4 was the car that dominated the 1988 Formula 1 season, giving Ayrton Senna his first world title and McLaren 15 wins in 16 Grands Prix. At the 1988 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, Senna, starting from pole position but stalling at the start, made a spectacular comeback in the rain to win and clinch the championship, securing one of the most iconic victories of his career and in F1 history.
