Starting from pole position, the British driver expertly managed a chaotic race and a one-stop strategy to win by 2.974 seconds ahead of his teammate, Kimi Antonelli. This Mercedes one-two finish marked the team's first victory of the new Formula 1 regulatory era and the sixth win of Russell’s career. The W17 ushered in a new generation of Mercedes race cars, powered by the Mercedes-AMG F1 M17 E Performance power unit.
