The Genesis GMR-001 is the LMDh Hypercar with which Genesis Magma Racing made its entry into the FIA WEC in 2026. Developed around a carbon monocoque chassis meeting LMDh regulations, it is visually distinguished by the two-line Genesis light signature, highly sculpted surfaces and an orange livery called Magma, enriched with Korean hangeul patterns and lettering.
Its propulsion is based on the Genesis G8MR engine, a 3.2-liter twin-turbo V8 from Hyundai Motorsport's WRC experience, associated with the standardized Bosch 50 kW hybrid system. The car has a seven-speed sequential paddle shift gearbox, rear-wheel drive, 18-inch Michelin tires and a regulatory maximum power of 680 hp for a minimum weight of 1,030 kg.
2026 program :
Genesis fields two GMR-001s in the WEC: the No. 17 of Pipo Derani, Mathys Jaubert and André Lotterer, as well as the No. 19 of Paul-Loup Chatin, Mathieu Jaminet and Dani Juncadella. The program marks Genesis' official debut in the World Endurance Championship, with a first entry in IMSA GTP planned for 2027.
The first race of the GMR-001 took place at the 6 Hours of Imola, on April 19, 2026. The No. 17 finished 15th after a race without major problems, while the No. 19, delayed by a problem in the first hour, returned to the track to gain experience.

This 1/43 Spark miniature reproduces the Genesis Magma Racing GMR-001 in its orange 2026 presentation, with the reference SP725. This is a presentation model – and not a reproduction of a car classified in a specific race – which highlights the launch of Genesis Magma Racing’s Hypercar program.
Made of resin, it restores the long hood, the profiled wheel arches, the closed cockpit, the rear wing and the Magma graphic identity. The two-line light signature and the Korean patterns of the livery make it a particularly representative piece of the new brand involved in Hypercar.
