The Lancia Rally 037 is a mid-engined Group B rally car, derived from the Beta Montecarlo, equipped with a supercharged Volumex four-cylinder engine producing over 250 hp in its racing version, developed specifically for rallying in the early 1980s. In 1983, Walter Röhrl won the Monte Carlo Rally in the #1 Lancia 037 on its first official appearance with Lancia, opening a season that would see the brand clinch the World Rally Championship for Manufacturers, the last title achieved with a rear-wheel-drive rally car against the four-wheel-drive Audi Quattros.
