The Maserati MC12 is an exceptional supercar unveiled in 2004, originally designed to allow Maserati to homologate the MC12 GT1 for international Grand Touring competition. While it shares a technical foundation similar to that of the Ferrari Enzo, it features a completely unique body—significantly longer and engineered for aerodynamic stability. With its low nose, narrow cockpit, massive air intakes, long rear overhang, and large fixed rear wing, the MC12 boasts one of the most recognizable silhouettes among supercars of the 2000s.

Its structure combines a carbon-fiber and Nomex honeycomb monocoque with aluminum front and rear subframes. Mounted in a mid-rear position, its naturally aspirated 65-degree V12 engine—displacing 5,998 cc and derived from a Ferrari unit—develops 630 hp at 7,500 rpm and 652 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed "Cambiocorsa" automated manual transmission that delivers power to the rear wheels. With a stated weight of 1,335 kg, the MC12 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 330 km/h.

Only 50 MC12 Stradale units were built between 2004 and 2005. This extremely limited production run, combined with its direct link to GT racing, has made the MC12 one of the most sought-after modern Maseratis. Its racing counterpart, the MC12 GT1, won multiple titles and major races in the FIA GT Championship, further cementing the road-going model's legendary status.
