Real Model – 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7

The 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was the first 911 to bear the “Carrera” name, a tribute to the legendary Carrera Panamericana. Developed to meet Group 4 homologation requirements, it followed a simple formula: increased engine displacement, reduced weight and improved aerodynamics. It quickly became a benchmark among classic 911 models, notably thanks to its iconic “ducktail” rear spoiler — the first fixed rear spoiler fitted to a production Porsche.

Its naturally aspirated 2,687 cc flat-six engine produces 210 hp at 6,300 rpm and 255 Nm of torque at 5,100 rpm. Mounted behind the rear axle, it is paired with a five-speed Type 915 manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. Weighing approximately 1,075 kg in Touring specification, the Carrera RS 2.7 reaches a top speed of 245 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 5.8 seconds.
