Real Model – Porsche 911 GT2 Type 993 Speedline Rims 1996
The 993 GT2 (first called simply "GT") was developed to homologate a two-wheel drive version of the 911 Turbo intended for GT2 competition, regulations then prohibiting all-wheel drive. Based on the flat-6 3.6 liter biturbo, it develops around 430 hp (450 hp on the latest series), while being considerably lighter compared to the 993 Turbo (more than 200 kg less depending on versions), for a weight/power ratio of around 3 kg/hp and a maximum speed around 300 km/h.
Produced in less than 200 examples in total (around sixty road cars), the 993 GT2 is today one of the rarest and most sought-after 911s, considered a pinnacle of extreme air-cooled 911s. Its very wide silhouette, its riveted wings and its enormous spoiler make it an icon of the 90s, often described as the “lethal weapon” of the 993.

The red KK Scale 1/12 993 GT2 miniature features the enlarged bodywork of the GT2: bolted front and rear fenders, specific bumpers with large air intakes, marked rocker panels and large biplane rear wing. The red color highlights the muscular volumes and the details (scoops, flares, 18-inch Speedline-type rims, wide tires), while giving a very “club racing” look.
On this large 1/12 scale, the open-body metal model allows a high level of detail: headlights, grilles, brakes visible behind the rims, GT2 logos and markings, as well as a well-rendered interior (buckets, possible rollbar, 993 dashboard) visible through the windows. In the window, this red GT2 imposes a strong presence, ideal to accompany other 993s (Carrera, Turbo, RS) or a collection of road and racing 911s.
