Real Model – Porsche 911 Coupé Type 993 1993
Unveiled in the autumn of 1993, the Porsche 911 Type 993 succeeded the 964 and represents the final generation of air-cooled 911s. Its design modernized the classic silhouette with more curvaceous fenders, integrated bumpers, and redesigned headlights, while retaining the rear-mounted flat-six engine and rear-wheel-drive layout.
Early Carrera models were equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine producing 272 hp at 6,100 rpm and 330 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. Paired with a six-speed manual transmission, it enabled acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 5.6 seconds and a top speed approaching 270 km/h. The 993 Carrera thus combined the mechanical character of classic 911s with a more modern, comfortable design.
