Introduced in 1994, the Porsche 911 Cabriolet (Type 993) is the open-top version of the final generation of air-cooled 911s. It retains the 911’s signature silhouette and rear-engine layout while offering a power-operated soft top and a character more suited to grand touring. The 993 stands out with its more curvaceous fenders, integrated bumpers, and slanted headlights, which significantly modernized the classic 911 design.
The Carrera Cabriolet is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine producing 272 hp and 330 Nm of torque. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission, it achieves a top speed of 270 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 5.6 seconds. While the rear-wheel-drive Carrera version is the configuration most commonly associated with this model, an all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 was also available.
