The No. 18 Porsche 919 Hybrid, driven by Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb, started from pole position and finished fifth overall in the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours. Despite a solid pace, a few technical issues slowed the race down, but the LMP1 prototype demonstrated the reliability and potential of Porsche's hybrid technology. This performance showcased the depth of the team and the competitiveness of the 919 Hybrid programme on its return to endurance racing.
