The 2008 Toyota Century (GZG50) represents the pinnacle of Japanese engineering, powered by the country's only production V12: the 1GZ-FE. This engine is famous for its total redundancy, capable of running on six cylinders in the event of electronic failure. Traditionally reserved for the elite and the Emperor, it features a Jacquard wool interior for absolute silence. Its bodywork benefits from the "Kamui" painting process, hand-polished under running water for a flawless mirror finish. The "Stance" version breaks with this institutional sobriety by radically lowering the vehicle's ground clearance. The use of air suspension or coilovers allows the chassis to literally sit on the pavement. Deep-dish wheels and negative camber are installed so that the tires sit perfectly flush with the fenders. This transformation is part of the VIP (Bippu) culture, where the luxury sedan becomes an expression of aesthetic rebellion. It retains its unique attributes, such as the hand-sculpted Phoenix emblem, while adopting an aggressive stance.
