The 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO Evoluzione remains one of Maranello’s most radical and exclusive creations. Developed for Group B racing before the category was scrapped, only five factory-built examples were ever produced. A true racing beast with a 650-horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine weighing just 940 kg, it was capable of exceeding 360 km/h. Constructed entirely from Kevlar and carbon fibre, its brutal, aerodynamically driven lines served as the direct genetic blueprint for the legendary F40.
