Real Model – Maserati MC12 GT1 2004

The Maserati MC12 GT1 is the racing version of the road-going MC12, designed by Maserati Corse for the FIA GT Championship. Introduced in 2004, it features a carbon-fiber monocoque with a Nomex honeycomb structure—derived from the Ferrari Enzo architecture—along with aluminum safety subframes and an integrated roll cage.

Its naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 engine, mounted mid-rear, is paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox and rear-wheel drive. While actual power output is adjusted according to GT1 regulations and Balance of Performance rules, the base version of the MC12 produces 630 hp and 652 Nm of torque.

Its massive rear wing, long wheelbase, diffuser, and double-wishbone suspension with pushrod-actuated dampers reflect a design focused on endurance racing and aerodynamic performance.

Over seven seasons of competition, the MC12 GT1 secured 22 race wins and 14 titles—including five consecutive FIA GT championships from 2006 to 2010 and three victories at the 24 Hours of Spa.
