The latest addition to the air-cooled 911 range, the Type 993 epitomises the ‘Aircooled’ lineage from Zuffenhausen. Reimagined by Tony Hatter with its curved wings and raked headlights, it combines the timeless elegance of the classic 911 with unrivalled technical modernity, symbolised by its new LSA multi-link rear suspension. Enhanced by the iconic Indian Red (Guards Red) paintwork, the 1993 Carrera delivers 272 ch with a pure and mesmerising engine note, securing this model’s place forever in the pantheon of Porsche masterpieces.
Minichamps offers a superb 1/18 scale replica (ref. 155061102) that perfectly captures the flowing lines of the Type 993 in its original Indian Red colour. The glossy paintwork and meticulous fit and finish highlight the care taken with the bodywork, from the Cup wheels to the translucent headlights. An essential collector’s item to celebrate the golden age of air-cooled engines.
