The most famous pre-war Austro-Daimler sports car, Hans Stück's ADM-R, represents the pinnacle of Austrian engineering expertise of the time. Not only is it an evolution of Ferdinand Porsche's famous Sascha, but it is also derived from the brand's flagship model: the ADR. More specifically, it's based on the ADR 6 Sport Torpedo, built especially for Hans Stück's personal use.
On closer inspection, the ADR 6 Sport Torpedo is simply the ADM-R, fitted with the necessary accessories to make it a road car: fenders, a spare wheel, two additional seats (including a "mother-in-law" seat), running boards, headlights, and so on. It therefore has a Porsche chassis and an engine derived from the Sascha's Porsche engine. Only two examples were ever built. But the model would serve as the basis for the most prestigious of the Austro-Daimlers, the legendary Bergmeister of 1932. While the brand's creations at the time demonstrated a certain mastery and know-how, their relatively high prices prevented commercial success, and in 1934 Austro Daimler definitively merged with Steyr, another company to have benefited from the insights of Ferdinand Porsche.
