A 42 mm timepiece made of microblasted titanium coated with black PVD that allows you to read the time while keeping the right course thanks to its integrated compass! A classic of the late 70s slightly revised and corrected to adapt to contemporary standards. They do not lose the north at Porsche Design!

A watch. Two functions. In a first case, the time and date. Normal. In a second box: north, south, east and west, in short the four cardinal points, thanks to an integrated compass! More original. Does this model remind you of something? Inevitably, since it is inspired by the first watch with integrated compass, created by Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in 1978 (in partnership with IWC, the Schaffhausen brand was also mentioned on the original dial).

By reissuing this classic, Porsche Design has simply adapted to the requirements of the 21st century. The diameter has been slightly enlarged and the new watch is now offered in titanium. After the P'6530 Titan Chronograph, the P'6520 Compass Watch Compass Watch is the second reissue of a legendary Porsche Design. Like the chrono, it is offered in a limited edition of 911 copies.

More concretely, the Compass Watch P'6520 has two superimposed elements. On the top is an hour-minute-seconds watch with luminescent hands and date window at 3 o'clock, animated by a SW300 Sellita automatic caliber. By tilting this housing by means of two pushers located at the horns at 6 o'clock, you discover below a liquid compass that can be easily cleared from its compartment. A scratch-resistant mirror placed at the back of the watch case, and opening at 45 ° to the compass, allows to make readings using this instrument.

The aesthetics of the Compass Watch P'6520 are similar to the historical model, but as mentioned before, the case has been slightly enlarged - in line with today's standards. The diameter increased by 3 mm to 42 mm, the thickness from 1.6 mm to 14.6 mm. The black-and-white, ultra-sensitive design of the dial is faithful to the 1978 dial. The hour markers and the hour and minute hands are lined with white luminescent paint. The second hand -centrale- is orange.

The black aluminum of the original model has been replaced by titanium, a material of superior quality, more pleasant to wear and antiallergic. The casing - waterproof to 50 m - as well as the bracelet are entirely made in this metal, with PVD coating (Physical Vapor Deposition) black. Titanium has many benefits, including gentle skin contact, great lightness (it's half as heavy as steel) and excellent corrosion resistance. This non-magnetic material is also ideal in correlation with a compass, because it avoids any deviation of the needle!
