A native of Le Mans, Alain Baudouin did not missed a single 24-hour race since 1957. Whether as a passionate spectator or as a pit marshall for 20 years, he has built a special relationship with the event. Childhood memories, racing emotions, meetings with pilots and engineers, everything is engraved in his memory. And if he started very early, in his school notebooks, to draw the various cars that he could admire on the circuit, he waited for his retirement as an engineer, in 2009, to devote himself completely to painting. In his paintings, one feels the desire to magnify cars. From his own admission, his paintings seek to reflect the fact that they have been seen by real eyes in real time, and that they can be felt.
